Lojandía (deutsch Lohanden) ist eine Region in Zentralsagradien. Der Name der Region geht auf das frühmittelalterliche skantische Gebiet Loxandien zurück, das auch und dem späteren Herzogtum Lojandía seinen Namen verlieh.

Landschaft

Die Region erstreckt sich von der Cabeza im Norden dem Verlauf des Liêno folgend bis zum mittelsagradischen Becken im Süden. Im Westen wird die Region vom Lojandinischen Gebirge begrenzt, im Osten grenzt die Region an den Veza und die Soler-Landschaft. Landschaftlich vereinigt die Region Lojandía die Berglandschaften der Cabeza und des Montes Lojandinœs mit den flachen Ebenen des Liêno-Flusses und der Soler.

Bevölkerungsstruktur

Mit 2,4 Millionen Einwohnern ist Lojandía die neuntgrößte Region des Landes. Größte Stadt ist Laquines mit 314.000 Einwohnern im Stadtgebiet und fast einer Million in der größeren Agglomeration. Sie ist zugleich auch Hauptstadt der Region sowie ihr industrielles und wirtschaftliches Zentrum. Außerhalb der Agglomeration Laquines ist die Region stark ländlich geprägt. Weitere größere Städte mit knapp 100.000 Einwohnern sind einzig Vallador und Meném, während die Regionalzentren Rosera, Carace, Cantara, Samartiega und Santián-Canareta deutlich weniger Einwohner haben.

Die Region Lojandía besteht aus den vier Provinzen Cabeza (Gouvernement in Vallador) im Norden, Mêdio-Liêno (Laquines) im Zentrum, Roser-Caraçal (Rosera) im südlichen Westen sowie Soler i Veza (Samartiega) im Südosten.
